Australian Made, Owned & Operated

The Pool Perf® System

Australia’s original punched aluminium pool fence - and still the only one built the way this one is built.

Engineered, not assembled

The difference is in the frame. Our frame is tabbed and slotted together - a construction unique to Pool Perf®, used by no other perforated fencing on the market. The tab-and-slot joint stops the frame twisting and guarantees it stays square, which is where the strength of the whole panel begins.

The perforated infill is then installed independently, after the frame is assembled, and riveted around the entire perimeter of the frame using pre-treated and powder-coated rivets - so the fixings match the finish rather than becoming the weak point. The result is a panel that behaves as one piece.

That’s not a marketing distinction. It’s the reason we can span 3 metres between posts when almost everyone else stops at 2. Fewer posts, cleaner sightlines, less to look at and less to install.

Every panel is punched, pre-treated, powder-coated and assembled in our own facility on the Gold Coast - not imported, not sub-contracted.

How a Pool Perf® panel is built

Three stages, in this order. The first one is the bit nobody else does.

1

The frame is tabbed & slotted

The frame members tab and slot into one another. This is what stops the frame twisting and guarantees it stays square - and it is unique to Pool Perf®. No other perforated fencing on the market is built this way.

2

The infill is fitted after

The perforated panel is installed independently, once the frame is already assembled and square - not sandwiched in during assembly and hoped for the best.

3

Riveted right around

The infill is then riveted around the entire perimeter of the frame using pre-treated and powder-coated rivets, so the fixings match the finish and add strength rather than becoming the weak point.

The combined result is a panel that behaves as one piece - and spans 3 metres where most competitors stop at 2.

Two ways to fix it

Channel Fit - the zero-gap system

Channels screw to the post, the panel slides in. No visible brackets, no gap at the posts, and the cleanest architectural line we offer. Two channel options: the Premium system (pre-drilled, with a foot, for 1200mm and 1500mm panels) or the Extrusion system (cut to any height from 100–3000mm, drilled on site).

Ordering note: panel make size = post-to-post minus 14mm.

Bracket Fit - the adaptable system

Standard fish-mouth shroud brackets clamp straight onto the Pool Perf® frame, so panels can be trimmed to suit on site. The forgiving option when ground conditions or existing posts aren’t perfectly regular. Panels sit with a designed 80mm gap either side.

Ordering note: panel make size = post-to-post minus 4mm.

Pool Perf compared with glass pool fencing

Honestly, versus glass

Glass looks superb on day one. The question is what it looks like in year three, and what it costs you in between.

  • Cleaning: glass shows every splash, handprint and hard-water mark. Perforated aluminium doesn’t hold them.
  • Breeze: 63% open area lets wind through instead of building a sail in your backyard.
  • Breakage: aluminium doesn’t shatter. No spontaneous failures, no sharp edges around children.
  • Sloping ground: raked panels handle fall properly; glass needs stepping and spigot gymnastics.
  • Style: Endless design and colour possibilities versus one look.

Costs more than the cheap imports on day one. Costs less than glass every day after.
